Baby #4 Ultrasound

We had our first ultrasound today!  Still too small to tell if it's a boy or a girl, but we got to see arms and legs, fingers and toes, and a strong heart beat.  I think this first picture is so cute - 

you can see he/she has her legs crossed.

The kids say this one looks like an alien!  Maybe it'll be a little cuter at the next ultrasound!

Caden's 3rd Birthday!

Making the birthday cake with Dad has become an annual tradition for Claire and Caden.  It all started with Claire's first birthday.  I had planned the most beautiful pink and yellow birthday party for my baby girl.  I made gorgeous invitations and decorations, we had pink and white gingham plates and napkins, and were expecting a house full of people the next day when I realized I had forgotten to pick up the cake!!  It was already after 5:00pm on Saturday and the bakery (Central Pastry, my favorite!!) was closed on Sunday!  Seems kinda silly now but I actually cried!  My perfect birthday party was ruined!  But Bryce came to the rescue!  Daddy and Claire had a ball making the birthday cake together and that's what we've done ever since! So, here's Caden following in the tradition for his 3rd birthday cupcakes!

Swim Lessons

Claire and Caden have swim lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Claire has moved up two classes already and is doing free style and back stroke the whole length of the pool.  She is also learning the "frog kick" which will soon be the breast stroke.  

Caden is jumping in the pool without the teacher's help and 

swimming with "long arms" across the pool.  

He is learning to put his ears in the water by doing the side stroke.  

At this rate, he'll be ready to jump off of "jump rock" by Summer!!
